Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today I’ll be doing a Q and A and the questions all came from my lovely followers on Instagram and Twitter so let’s get straight to it! I’ve linked the twitter/insta and blogs of everyone who asked me a question so be sure to go check out all of those fab people!
1. How long have you been blogging and what made you decide to start?
I celebrated my 1st year of blogging back in June and I decided to start because honestly, I just needed a hobby and blogging is something I had been wanting to do for a while. I hadn’t long finished uni and I was struggling to get a job so I just wanted something to keep my mind off that. Also, in the past I’ve suffered from depression and being home all day doing nothing really didn’t help that and blogging has helped me massively because it gave me something to do. Since I started blogging, my mental health has benefited hugely not only because I now have a hobby but also because I’ve made so many friends through blogging, I would recommend it to anyone who has depression/anxiety or anything like that!

2. One piece of advice you would give to newbie bloggers?
I don’t know if I’m really qualified to give advice to newbie bloggers because I don’t feel like I’ve been blogging long enough and still feel like a newbie myself! One thing I would say is don’t push yourself too much, to begin with. When I started, I was posting every single day and it’s really too much, it really wasn’t good for me mentally because although I’ve mentioned how much it has helped my mental health, daily blogging really didn’t because I would get so stressed about not having something ready to publish one day that I would just write anything. Find a schedule you’re comfortable with and it’s okay if sometimes life gets in the way and you have to skip a week or two of posting.
3. What are your most and least favourite things about blogging?
I’m not 100% what this question is but I’m assuming it means my favourite and least favourite things about blogging? My favourite thing is the friends I’ve made through blogging and how supportive the blogging community is! My least favourite thing would probably be scheduling tweets or photography.
4. When you started your blog, did you tell people that you knew personally such as family and friends?
I’ve been blogging for over a year and I still haven’t told my family about it. I feel silly doing it now because it’s been so long I don’t really know how to do it! My friends know though and so does my boyfriend but I have asked him not to read it.
5. What’s your favourite musical theatre song ever?
That’s such a difficult question, I have so many that I love! One of them has to be Defying Gravity from Wicked (I bought tickets to go and see Wicked today and I’m beyond excited about it!!). Currently, I’m loving musical soundtracks over individual songs! Some of my faves at the moment are Heathers, Frozen, Mean Girls and of course, Hamilton!

6. Who are your top 5 Strictly couples of all time?
Oh, another hard one! Not in any particular order but I would probably say:
- Susan and Kevin
- Kellie and Kevin
- Ore and Joanne
- Chris and Ola
- Kimberley and Pasha or Chelsee and Pasha

7. Which 3 songs from any musicals best describe your life right now?
This is possibly my favourite question ever and got me thinking for so long because it’s really tricky! I wasn’t sure whether I should go with titles of songs that describe my life or choose a song based on the lyrics. I decided to go with titles that describe my life right now just because it’s a bit easier! The three songs I would choose are Don’t Stop Believin’ from Rock Of Ages (also going to see that in November!), Wonderful from Wicked and Satisfied from Hamilton. I chose those three songs because for so long I’ve felt like things just haven’t been going my way but about 2/3 months ago after 4 years of being single, I got a boyfriend and about 3 weeks ago I got a job after being unemployed for 8 months. In regards to getting a job I was really down and losing hope because I’d been on so many interviews but it never worked out for me which is why I chose Don’t Stop Believin’ because you really should never stop believing in yourself and I chose Wonderful and Satisfied because I’m finally feeling satisfied with how my life is going at the moment and it’s all just wonderful!
8. How did you get into blogging and how do you get into collaborations?
I’ve already answered that first part for question 1. I haven’t done a ton of collaborations, it’s definitely something I’d like to do more of but whenever I have done one I’ve just tweeted asking if anyone would be interested in doing a collab. I did that a couple of weeks ago and I got 3 or 4 responses, one of those collabs will be out next Tuesday by the way!! Another way to do it would be to just pluck up the courage and email/dm someone you want to work with. That’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while now but I haven’t been brave enough to do it!
9. What was the thing you found most difficult to do when starting your blog?
As I mentioned earlier, I started my blog and posted every day so the most difficult thing for me would have been coming up with enough ideas to be able to post 7 days per week.
