Blogger Love: Daniella (Halo Halo)

In today’s edition of Blogger Love, I will be featuring Daniella from Halo Halo. I ask everyone who wants to be featured in Blogger Love to answer a few questions so that we can get to know them and their blog so I’m excited for you all to get to know Daniella a little better!

Tell us a bit about you and your blog.

Hey guys! My name is Daniella or Dani for short and I’ve been blogging for almost 2 years now. My blog has gone through a lot of changes regarding its name it was originally called “The Pug Life” then I changed it into “Dani dot yes!” thinking it had a ring to it, however a few months later something about the name made me feel uneasy so I decided to ponder about the name a little bit more and came up with a name that is linked to my ethnicity and culture- Halo-Halo.

My vision is to make the readers fall in love with the easy to avail beauty products here in my country and to spread my knowledge in hopes of being able to help the readers with Halo-Halo.

Why did you start blogging?

I’ve actually written a post about it a few nights ago and to sum it all up I basically started blogging because it is the only time I feel like I’m actually doing something right in my life. Blogging is a hobby that became my passion over time as I realized I always felt joyous whenever I am writing a new blog post.

What’s your favourite thing about blogging?

My favourite thing about blogging is how effortlessly I could write a new blog post without having any doubts about it or any fear of being judged by fellow bloggers. I also love the fact that blogging has allowed me to become more creative and it made me interact with and discover new bloggers/blogs with great content that I never knew existed. It made me appreciate the time and effort they put into making their blog presentable for the rest of us.

What’s your least favourite thing about blogging?

Since English is not really my first language, I sometimes have a difficult time in writing up a new blog post. Having to constantly re-read everything I wrote and checking to see if I misspelt anything or if the grammar is correct, it’s an important step of the process and that is why it is my least favourite thing about blogging.

Tell us about your favourite blog post.

Basic HTML Code Every Blogger Should Know. I had fun writing this post because everything that you will see in the content just effortlessly flew right out of me and on to my fingertips to type it all out. I take a programming course and I dream of using the knowledge that I acquired on my blog and/or spreading that knowledge onto readers out there who is enthusiastic about learning how to code.

Describe your blog in three words.

Halo-Halo Blog or Bit of Everything

(Halo-halo is a word made up of two words joined together.)

What do you do when you’re not blogging?

I go to Uni, help out around the house and bike around the neighbourhood in hopes of finding inspirations for my blog. I can’t really elaborate much of my mundane life, I’m just a simple girl hoping to get a big breakthrough with her blog someday.

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Probably a banana. I mean who doesn’t like bananas? It’s good for your health and you can make a banana shake and a banana cake with it.

What would be your perfect day?

My perfect day would be travelling around the city or area that I am in to find inspirations for my blog. And I’m not just saying that so that I could be featured in your future post but I really do feel happy when I’m doing something related to my blog, it gives me a sense of pride and comfort of knowing that I am doing something that benefits not only me but the readers as well.

What’s your top tip for getting traffic to your blog?

That’s something I want to know as well haha. But my top tip for getting blog traffic is, especially if you’re a newbie just like me, I would recommend to expose yourself out there by participating in something relating to the blogging community. There are events or activities online that allows that to happen, on Twitter, there are many hashtags where you can easily get yourself involve into like #BloggersTribe. I’ve hit 700 views on a post just by participating in #BloggersTribe. It’s not a lot but it’s a start.

I hope you all enjoyed getting to know Daniella through those questions. Don’t forget to check out Halo Halo. If you want to follow Marie on social media, you can do so through on Twitter, Instagram and Blog Lovin’.
