Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today marks one year since my first blog post. That’s right, I’ve been blogging for one whole year and I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone. I’ve thought long and hard about this post and what I wanted to do to mark the occasion and so I’ve come up with The Bloscars which is a kind of an awards ceremony (get it? Bloscars? Blog/Oscars? I’ll go now…) and I’ll have different categories and pick a blog post for each category and talk about it a bit. Without further ado, let’s get into it!
Winner: A List of Firsts
I could have included a few posts for this category because there are so many of my posts that I love but I’ve decided to go with this one because I really enjoyed going back over my life thinking about the firsts we all go through and it was such a fun post to write! It was so nice to see that it inspired my friend Bexa to write her own post which was a really interesting take on my post.
Hardest Post To Write
Winner: My Mental Health Story
My Mental Health Story was by far the hardest for me to write and I was terrified to hit that publish button because I’d never spoken about my mental health like that before but afterwards I was so happy I shared my story. One of my friends read the post and opened up to me that she had felt the same way as me and I think that really brought us closer together and gave us a way to be able to talk to each other about how we were feeling. I also got a lot of positive comments which was nice and it made posting such a personal post feel worthwhile.
Most Popular Post
This is one of my favourite posts because I love writing about shows/events I’ve been to so that I can look back and remember them and if you’re a regular reader you’ll know how much I love Strictly so I really enjoyed sharing my experience of the 2018 tour!
Most Helpful Post
Winner: A Guide To Twitter For Bloggers
I’ve gotten so much positive feedback on this post and I’m so happy it’s been helpful to people! It took me so long to write because there was so much information to include and I was really pleased with how it turned out. I’d love to do more posts like this in the future but right now I don’t feel that there’s anything I know enough about or understand enough to help anyone.
Most Fun Post
I had so much fun writing this post and it’s sparked a mini-trend which is exciting! I’ve seen a few people do their own take on this post and I’ve loved reading them all! It’s always an incredible feeling when you’ve done a post that inspires others to re-create it in their own way.
I hope you enjoyed this fun little post to mark my 1 year blogiversary! Thank you to everyone who’s ever read, commented or shared one of my posts and an even bigger thank you to those of you who stick around, read regularly and are a constant support to me, it really means so much! If you’re new and this is the first post you’re reading, please stick around, I usually post on Tuesdays and Fridays and sometimes bonus posts throughout the week. If you’re in the UK, don’t forget to enter my giveaway which closes on Saturday (30th June).
