Q and A April 2018

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Last week I asked my lovely Twitter followers to send me some questions so that I could do a Q and A so I’m super excited about this post because I got some really lovely questions so let’s get right into it.

What is your proudest blogging achievement so far? – Nikki

I think my proudest blogging achievement so far is being contacted to review things. So far, I’ve reviewed a course on pitching to brands and a book called The Princess Mutiny and a Pinterest Planner.

What has been your favourite blog post to write so far? – Bexa

My favourite blog post to write has probably been my guide to Twitter for bloggers. It’s helped quite a few people which I’m really happy about.

What book has influenced you the most that you have read in the last 12 months and why? – Nick

I don’t feel like I’ve read that many books in the last 12 months because I’ve been re-reading Harry Potter since last Summer but I finished the final book last weekend and moved straight on to Sarah Millican’s book How To Be Champion which I got for Christmas from my grandparents and I would say I’m about a quarter of the way through I’m loving it. I’m finding it extremely relatable and its full of helpful tips and it’s extremely funny and a bit emotional in places. At the end of each chapter, there’s a little tip relating to that chapter telling you how to be champion and when I’ve finished the book I’ll be going back through it and writing all of the tips in my bullet journal so that I can always find them easily so I would probably say that’s the book that’s influenced me the most in the last 12 months even though I haven’t finished it yet.

(Q1) What is your favourite book? (Q2) When is your birthday? When would you like your birthday to be if you could choose? – Emily

That’s a hard one! I absolutely adore the Harry Potter books and I just LOVED The Princess Mutiny (which is free on kindle here so go get it). So, my birthday is the 24th of February and I hate it. It’s too close to Christmas. I was due on Valentine’s day which would have been good because I would have had presents whether I was in a relationship or not! My ideal birthday though would be the 25th of June because it’s halfway between Christmases (it’s my little sister’s birthday so I’m super jealous of her!).

What motivated you to start blogging? – Jocelyn

I started blogging for a few reasons but the main one is probably the fact that I needed a hobby. I finished university and was struggling to get a job (and still am) so I needed something to help fill my days. I also wrote a full post on this with all of my reasons for blogging.

What has been the best piece of blogging advice someone has ever given you? – Fern

That’s a tricky one. I don’t think I’ve ever really been given proper blogging advice, I’ve just read a lot about it and have had people suggest things I should do but never really advice. If you guys have any for me, I’d love to hear it!

What would you tell your 15-year-old self if you could go back in time? – JeansAndTonics

At about age 15 I was having trouble with my friends at the time so I would tell my 15-year-old self ‘don’t even worry about it’ because it won’t even matter in a year. Shortly after this, I moved registration classes to be with my friend Abigail who I already had a few lessons with and we’re now best friends 7 years later. (7 years Abs, how mad is that?!)

What were your parents’ views when you first told them you started blogging? – Katie

I haven’t actually told my parents about my blog. I’m not really that close with my family in the sense that I tell them a lot about how I’m feeling, some of the things I like etc and I’m quite happy with that because they often make fun of some things I like and call me sad for some of the things I like. I want my blog to be for me, somewhere I can come and write how I’m feeling and I don’t want them to be reading it and mocking me.

Thank you to everyone who sent me questions, I really appreciate it! Be sure to check out their blogs and Twitters and show them some love. If you enjoyed this q and a, please share it using the buttons below or on the left!

Thanks for reading, Em xo
