Blogmas Day 13: My Christmas Tree

Happy Wednesday everybody! Christmas is slowly creeping up on us so a couple of weeks ago I put up my little tree in my bedroom while I was ill to cheer me up and today I’m finally going to show it to you.

I’ve had this tree for years! There are lights attached to it but they don’t work anymore so I have added some fluffy fairy lights that I take off my wall every year to put on the tree. I adore these lights because they’re just so cute! They’re pink AND fluffy, what more could you want?!

As you can see from the picture, I have a few different kinds of decorations on my tree. The silver baubles came from Sainsbury’s a while back now and there are a mixture of matt, shiny and glittery baubles in the box. The pink and white funny shaped ones came from a Marks and Spencers outlet sale back at the beginning of this year. I think there are about 12 in the box and I got them for £1! The Mickey Mouse baubles and the unicorn/star/rainbow ones all came from Primark. I actually mentioned the unicorn/star/rainbow ones in my Primark haul back in September which you can read here.

To top it all off, I have a little unicorn decoration which I got from Poundland when I was shopping for my day 2 post for Blogmas which is when I re-created Zoella’s £50 advent calendar for under £10 (you can read it here if you missed it). When it comes to what goes at the top of my tree, the last year or two hasn’t been very traditional. Last year, I couldn’t find my angel which usually went on the top so, I used Alexander the Meerkat (yes, the one from the compare the market adverts!). I love meerkats so I thought, why not, it’s my tree, I can do whatever I want with it! The same goes for this unicorn. It’s just so cute, why not put it on top of the tree?

Christmas Tree

Do you keep it traditional or are you more creative with your decorations like I am? Let me know in the comments and send me your Christmas tree pictures over on twitter (@Strictly_Emma) – I’d love some inspiration for next year’s tree! If you missed yesterday’s post, you can read that here.

Thanks for reading, Em xo
