May Bullet Journal and Goals: How Did I Do?

May Bullet Journal and Goals: How Did I Do

Hello and welcome back to my blog! It’s the last day of May… We’re almost halfway through the year and I just can’t believe it! I tried this type of post last month and it was super popular so I’ve decided to continue doing it. So, let’s get into my May Bullet Journal and Goals: How Did I Do? post.

My Bullet Journal

Since last month I’ve added/re-done some pages so I’m going to start by showing you those.

First, I replaced my movie watch list and books to read pages because I just wasn’t happy with my original ones.

New pages – I printed these onto sticker paper and just cut them to fit and stuck them over the old pages. The movie reels didn’t cover all of the old page so I decided to add some gold glitter washi tape as a border. I coloured the books with Crayola Super Tips but I do wish that I had left the lines on the books white and then coloured them later to show I’ve read the books. If you want these pages, you can get the movie reels here and the bookshelves here.

My next new pages are my Blogger Love schedule. I was keeping track of the bloggers I’m featuring in a little diary but I wanted something that would allow me to see a list of dates so I came up with this and it’s scary that it will take me to February 2019!

I haven’t gotten around to filling this one in yet because I haven’t quite figured out how I want to do it but it will contain all of the places I want to visit (just in case you didn’t get that from the title)! I did this the same way I did the reading list and watch list pages. It’s not as noticeable on the other pages but I wish the colour of the stick paper matched the bullet journal pages but hopefully, it won’t be so bad when I fill it in a bit!

May Bullet Journal and Goals: How Did I Do? Places To Visit

You may have seen on my blog that I’ve done a couple of posts in a series I call ‘My City Guide’ where I write about a city I’ve visited and some of the things I got up to in those cities. So far, I’ve done Cardiff and Dublin but I wanted to continue the series so I’ve created a sort of brainstorming page to come up with ideas for future posts.

Finally, I’ve added some mandala pages so that I can do some colouring to de-stress and unwind if I ever feel like it. I got these online but I can’t remember where but I’m sure you could just google them and you’d find some!

Now, onto my May pages so you can see how I got on! Overall, I’m really happy with my May spread so I’ll probably stick to this sort of layout because I found that it worked pretty well for me.

May Memories

I really preferred this memories page over the gratitudes page I did last month. With this one, I didn’t feel obligated to write something on here every day. I like that I was able to track the things in the ‘currently’ section as well as bigger things like memories and struggles. It’s just a really nice thing to be able to look back on.

Habit Tracker

This is another page I tried differently this month and it was so much easier! Last month I coloured each square so that by the end of the month I had a sort of rainbow but ticking the boxes was so much easier and quicker. It’s definitely the way forward for my habit trackers now!

Blog and Social Media Calendar

Last month I did a facebook group tracker but this month I decided to combine that with my tasks relating to my blog like setting my buffer to post to social media. I also tried to plan out my blog posts which was super helpful because I was able to make sure I had a variety of posts throughout the month. I really need to go through the calendar and fill in some things I’ve missed out towards the end of the month but I’ve been super busy and I just haven’t had the chance to do it but this is something I’ll be carrying on with in June.

Weekly Pages

My weekly pages were something new for May and I really enjoyed them! I was able to set out tasks for the week and easily see what I needed to get done. I didn’t want to share my weeklies filled in so here’s a picture of them at the start of the month because they’re so pretty!

Goals

My goals for May were:

Reach 100 followers on WordPress
Reach 1,600 Twitter followers
Reach 150 Instagram followers
Finish reading ‘Unmasked’ by Andrew Lloyd Weber

I managed to achieve two of these goals. At the time of writing this, I’m on 117 WordPress followers and 168 Instagram followers which I’m so happy about! I’m also pretty close to my Twitter goal, I’m currently on 1,587 so I’m happy with that too. With regards to finishing ‘Unmasked’… I don’t think I’ve even picked it up all month! I’m really struggling to read it especially as it’s been so long since I last read it. Once I get back into it I’m sure it will be a little bit easier.

On the 1st of the month, I should be sharing my spread for the month and telling you my goals but as the 1st happens to be on a Friday which is my Blogger Love day, I’ll be sharing my June spread on Saturday instead so be sure to check back for that then!

How did you do with your bullet journal and/or goals this month? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading, Em xo
